Jesus in Blue Jeans - reflection 1

i am reading this book "Jesus in Blue Jeans" by Laurie Beth Jones (author of Jesus, CEO) its a really very very easy to read and digest book.

for those that know me well, i am not a reader. i learn mainly thru - audio, visual and hands-on. but this book captivates me. its meant to be some sort of "daily bread" sort of reading material. at the end of each short "lesson" there are questions to answer, prayer outline and affirmation statement to speak into ones own life.

in order to absorb the most of every "lesson" i decided to read it slowly, not rushing thru it in a couple of days/ weeks. honestly its so good that i am tempted to do so and since its so easy to read, i can-if i want to. but i chose otherwise. =)

anyway, enough of those introduction and backgrounds... there are lots of things that had been swirling in my mind. some are things that i had not yet come to terms with and struggling to let go/ embrace but there are things that had "scraped the scales off my eyes". something to share with everyone and also to remind myself the next time i read my own blog....

God chose not the people who were willing, but the people who were ready. Judges 7:5

wow.... its really a wake up call for me. i know i am willing for God to lead and mould me into where and what He wants me to be but am i READY? and how ironical is it when we can be willing but not ready to do God's will. hm... a thot for you to ponder on now....
