??

i remembered a classmate of mine who once wrote of his love-hate relationship for school holidays after one of our mid-year holiday. our dear English teacher wrote a big "OUT OF CONTEXT" and "SEE ME!" on his work. he was so upset and showed it to me while complaining away. i thought his work was rather interesting, showing his emotions and thoughts relating to that vague title that our dear teacher gave "school holidays". but of cuz, everyone knows what sort of standard answer the teacher was looking for ... (don't u?)

standard questions to standard answers. that is the way, the world moves isn't it?

I hate it when pple apply the "One size fits all" principle.

I've never felt this strongly about the Free Size phenomenon in Singapore until my stay in Oz.

I met with many different pple there. Some of them took interesting courses before they came to uni for their degree courses. SOme of the courses they took are non-existent to the knowledge of typical Singaporeans. Courses like singing, vocal development, etc, in China. When I heard the availability of such courses in other parts of the world, my jaw dropped!

I felt like we, Singaporeans, miss out alot in life and in career. What do we have in Singapore? Business, Engineering, Nursing, blah blah blah. HOw many routes do we have to choose from after O level?

Why are we constrained within an invisible box from young and then encouraged to "think out of the box" when we grow up? Isn't that irony?

Excuse me
