INDONESIA - 14 TH. MAY 1998

i just finish reading a fwd email. it was a newspaper cutting (chinese) it said that the tsunami and earthquake that had happened in Indonesia was a punishment from God to the native of the land. Reason for those hateful words was the ethnic cleaning targeted at Chinese in Indonesia on 14th May 1998. Numerous chinese women were raped, brutally abused and even killed before this families' eyes in a supposedly safe area in Indonesia. Pictures attached sicken every living soul that views it. Burned bodies, horribly abuse vaginal parts bruised and even pictures of the attackers torturing their victims-raping/hitting. together with the pictures were also a terrible account of a survivor. her sister, auntie and herself were all attacked, leaving her sister died. she ended her plea asking others to pray along with her for GOd to avenge for her and all those who had suffered in the name of the attackers' god. the god that they chanted as the greatest while abusing and hurting others. which god will allow it? satan or devil? if they are muslim then they must had their principles wrong. i have tons of good muslim friends, they practice mercy, they preach brotherhood, they are caring and loving. although i grieve over the hurt that was posed on the victims, i don't agree the hate that will forever harbor in the hearts of the many. its hard, i totally agree to forgive but God preaches love, the sort of love that you will be willing to die for your neighbor. God forgive the attackers, the nation that saddens Your heart. God in Heaven release the hurt and hate, the 'why us, why her, why me', God release them of their past and the painful memories. Jesus, bear these sins and pain...bear them all with You on Your cross Lord. Release Your healing over the whole of the nation, over every hurting souls. God, You were the one that created the earth, the sun and the moon, the trees and the sea. God, You created man and woman and You said very good. Lord help us to return to that 'very good' state, where we will still be in Your presence, in Your care. Lord Lord... hear our plea. Amen. *tears streaming down*
