conversion...starter kit
chinese new year is around the corner and soon we will be meeting lots of people whom we had not bother to contact over the entire year. the main reason we meet up is because we are somewhat related in someway. if not for it some people are better left unseen and unknown. haha... *wink* maybe you have such a relative/friend too, ya?
for man, its really simple. they can just hit of and start talking about the football and IT and if they are more current with the real world...the coming election. (thank God for the government if not what else is there to bitch about for man?!)
conversation topic for a typical man-
1) yo! did you see the match last night?!
2) i see you are using the latest PDA? Look, i brought mine too!
3) got any X-box games to trade?
4) more beer?
5) so which GRC are you in? (least heard ever!)
now woman is the troublesome lot. they smile and greet each other warmly only to critise about the dressing and lots more over the phone in the coming days. in this coming new year, me, being the nice, mummy figure that everyone knows me as, will dish out some 'common sense' for both the male and female when dealing with their long-time-no-see LADIES friends/ relatives
conversation topic for a woman-
1) comment on her changes (new hairstyle/ dressing)
*women appreciate people who see the little effort put in dolling themselves
2) tell her she had loose weight
*haha... and then spend the next 10 mins listening to her tell you her latest diet
3) be curious about that wonderful glow shinning on her face
*you may well get some inside stories!! *wink*
4) share a nasty 'hear-say' about her enemy
*evil...but it will put you into her good books immediately and will be included in her regular phone call rounds
(just be sure that that person is really an enemy!)
5) praise her for the ability to keep herself looking so great and managing so many roles at the same time!
*she may either show-off her achievements or start sobbing and telling you all the struggles she faces
haha... the tips above are not comprehensive and may not be the best tag-lines but at least you won't be left with no-one to talk to this new year's reunine dinner... haha...
