detox 2 =(
if you received an email asking you questions on detox, rest ensure that i am not planning to sell you health products. i was actually trying to find out what is the awareness level of it and if there is a market for it. yes, you are right! i was thinking of a business or such. in a more concrete manner, a detox spa. where people check into the spa for 3 days or so. during which, they will be having detox meals (according to their conditions), massages to aid in the holistic detox session. light yoga/pilates/ exercises to pump the blood to all vital organs. its very common in other countries but maybe Singapore is small and the pace is too fast therefore there isn't much of such holistic care around.
after talking with some of my friends, i conclude that its useless to set such spa concept in Singapore. 1st the land is too expensive therefore the entire 'spa experience' will have to go up as well. thus straining the client. although not holistic enough, most beauty saloon and slimming centres are already having programs that are very similar to detoxification. the idea of spending a couple of days in a 'spa hotel' is good but not if the client is going to eliminate (shit/pee) all day long. they may complaint they had not enough time to enjoy themselve. unless all my clients are hard-core natural healing fans who understand the entire concept and benefit of detox.
sigh... in a nutshell this idea is out. but if you are really interested in detox, there are books out there to help you understand it better. have fun exploring!
