my 1st time taking over from MLY

today is my 1st time taking over from our infamous friend, MLY. i was thinking "it won't be too bad lar. the most is that she can't finish her report lor. just J, the most she will just have to occupy the chair for 1hr max. to write her reports." but... that was when my nightmare starts!!

1st there were 4 discharges meaning that i will be admitting 4 new patients!! gosh!!
2nd MLY had not discharged all patients by 1.45pm!!!
3rd MLY did not complete her changes!!! stuff not done and not labelled?!?!
aiyoo... those changes were not renal cases lor... its DIM!! that means it would had been ordered rather early lor...

it must be the way, she loves to engage in small talks that make things terrible and slow! after 45mins or even longer of passing reports. MLY was called off to see the Nursing Dept. so... i did all her leftover changes and when she got back at 3-4pm, i told her i had completed the changes already.... then... she go ahead and label the changes again!!! i really blown my top and told her I DID IT LIAO. haha.. then guess what she said?! she said (sternly) no! its not. where are the forms?! i told her its in the clip boards and she promptly took the wrong clip board to prove her point!! i don't know to cry or laugh sia... in the end... she left the ward @ abt 8pm!! *faint*

100% for her delication and committment to the work! as for the rest... hmm... just a thot... if the older we are the less flexible we are to changes and to absorbing of new teachings, where does it put us adult learners/ mid-career changers? sigh... i hate to hear pple comment how terrible those mid-career switch staff fare worst than the normal 3yr kids. but what to do? i must say some are really too kind and caring to be in this line. they ought to be some nuns or charity nursing home voluteers! *sigh*

I REALLY MISS MY OLD TEAM. THE RULES ARE CLEARER AND PPLE MORE UNDERSTANDING. MAYBE I AM STILL NEW TO THE NEW TEAM BUT... I WILL JUST KEEP PRAYING BA...

meanwhile.. life is still great and worth the living with my dearest...放羊的星星!! yippeee... =)
