its all the same

what makes a date special? its the memories that comes along with it, right? but strip all those away a date is just a number which bear no meaning at all isn't it?

why do people celebrate birthday with the birthday boy/girl? celebration of life? hmm... don't know since when, i started to think otherwise. birthday is not a day to celebrate the living or the birth of the child but it should be a day to give thanks for the woman who went thru the dangers and pains of labor to delivery the child out into the world. so instead of partying the day away with friends celebrating our existence, i think its only right to treat our parents for dinner or spend the entire day with them. afterall the process isn't just 2 hours in the delivery suit but it starts as early as 24-36 hours before the actual action! all those contraction and the fear that comes along with the bursting of 'water-bag" and stuff. phew... thinking of it makes me sweat!

yesterday was my 3rd wedding anniversary. no flower, no fancy dinner. but honestly i am fine with it. cuz i think while flowers are pretty to look at but having to take care of it can be really something. no fancy dinner means that i can wear anything i like and eat anything i like. just being together, i think that is fine and good enough for me. but i must admit there are differences between us. there had been doubts on why i bother to get married in the 1st place and there are worries for the future but generally speaking i am glad i am married with a man that loves me dearly. although i had yet to mature enough to be prefect, i am glad God bless me with me with him to care for me. =) Yes... its yet another day/ date for giving thanks. =)
